At least the bikes are intelligent…

What an exciting week we have had.

We have partnered with HEX Innovate and had their ezCAN Yari for Yamaha fitted to both bikes this week.

In their words “The ezCAN Yari is a game-changer, designed to elevate your riding experience. With it’s advanced features and seamless integration, you can unlock a whole new level of control over your Yamaha Ténéré 700. Whether you’re embarking on a casual ride or an epic world tour, the ezCAN Yari is here to enhance every moment.”

So, what does this mean in plain speak? Well, it’s a fantastic, electronic communications system  between accessories and bike, allowing for the accessories to act depending on rider input such as strobe spot lights when hitting the horn; when applying the brakes, an extra brake light flashes several times before it goes to a solid light, which really draws attention to it. Getting rear ended is always a worry in fast moving traffic that slows suddenly; the riding lights can be set at different levels for different occasions, i.e. dipped beam you can set them to say, 10 percent and full beam they can be at 100 percent.

These are just some of the features, and some can also be managed from the bikes controls as you’re riding.

The Yamaha ezCAN is very new and it has only just become available to buy and so we were chuffed to bits when HEX Innovate were keen to partner up with us and get them fitted in time for our trip.

Thank you so much to Stephan and Neil from HEX. Wonderful people.
